Mastic One is the ideal solution for durable repairs to wide cracks and other distresses.
Mastic One® is a hot-applied mix of polymer-modified asphalt binder and select aggregate, used for fixing a variety of wide cracks and distresses in pavement. Mastic One provides a durable, load-bearing, waterproof repair that stays flexible so it won’t break apart the surrounding pavement. Available in different mix designs to match your climate and traffic conditions, Mastic One requires no field mixing or additives but will accept bulking stone for deep repairs. Best of all, Mastic One is ready for traffic as soon as it cools, minimizing lane closures.
Mastic One is available in two formulations to meet ASTM D8260 Type I or Type II (cold climates), the industry standard for hot-applied, aggregate-filled, polymer-modified mastic used to repair distresses in asphalt and Portland Cement Concrete pavements.
Mastic One contains select aggregate that provides strength to support heavy loads. However, Mastic One is provided in a pre-packaged form, so no field mixing or compaction is required. For deep repairs, Mastic One can be bulked with additional aggregate up to 20% of the material volume.
Mastic One’s flexibility allows it to compensate for thermal movement as pavement expands and contracts, or as adjoining slabs shift over time. This flexibility ensures that Mastic One won’t break up the surrounding pavement and won’t crack under pressure like many hard repair materials.
Mastic One adheres strongly to pavement for a durable, waterproof repair that’s able to withstand traffic and weather for 5+ years when applied correctly.
Installing Mastic One is simple and fast, which reduces labor, equipment and traffic disruption. Repairs can be opened to traffic as soon as the material is cool, with no curing time required.
Mastic One can be used to repair a wide variety of pavement distresses like wide cracks (>1.5”), alligator cracking, rutting, failed longitudinal joints, potholes, sealing utility cuts, filling rumble strips, and leveling manholes and bridge deck approaches.
