Longitudinal joints in asphalt are especially prone to deterioration from air, water and tires. The culprit is usually suboptimal compaction of the asphalt, which can happen even with an experienced crew and state-of-the-art equipment. Once an asphalt joint starts raveling, it opens the door to more decay as air and water further infiltrate the uncompacted voids.

Crafco Joint Adhesive is applied to the face of the first asphalt course, effectively gluing the second course to the first as it’s laid.

Crafco VRAM is applied before paving, beneath the joint area. It migrates upward into the adjoining asphalt courses to fill uncompacted voids.
