In addition to the pavement industry, Crafco also produces specialized preservation products to the bridge, airport, roofing and waterproofing industries. From asphalt and concrete pavements, to bridges, to airport runways, racetracks and canals, Crafco manufactures specialty products that seal, protect, repair, and strengthen pavement and roofing surfaces to preserve and extend their service life.
From its humble beginnings in 1976, Crafco has grown to lead a new and ever expanding market segment, packaged pavement preservation products. Over the years, Crafco has developed into the world’s largest supplier of crack sealant. Evolving from asphalt rubber to include asphalt based polymer sealants and fillers; Crafco sealants can be found in use in every state of the United States and around the world from China, to South America to Siberia, performing in all climatic conditions.
In addition to sealants, The Crafco packaged pavement preservation products include a line of hot-applied and cold-applied surface patching and repair products for asphalt and concrete. These products include, but are not limited to: TechCrete, Mastic One, HP Asphalt and HP Concrete Cold Patch.
In late 2010, Crafco purchased the second largest sealant and mastic material manufacturer in the United States, Deery American Corporation. With this acquisition, the combined sales organization and manufacturing locations continue to provide the industry with the best products and service. The “Deery” brand name is well known and well respected in the marketplace. With Crafco and Deery brands united, we will further expand into new markets and technologies.
On October 19, 2020, Crafco purchased the assets of Right/Pointe, LLC, located in DeKalb, IL.. The acquisition of Right/Pointe will enhance Crafco’s ability to better serve existing customers in the Midwestern United States.
Crafco also designs and manufactures equipment at its modern manufacturing facilities in Chandler, Arizona. This includes crack preparation equipment, melter/ applicators to heat and place sealants and fillers, patchers for applying hot-applied mastics and sealcoat applicators.
Another product line, Crafco geocomposites, are laminations of polymer modified asphalts and high strength fabrics used for pavement and bridge deck waterproofing and reflective crack prevention. GeoTac is a self-adhesive peel and stick waterproofing product, and PavePrep is a heavy-duty waterproofing and pavement reinforcing membrane.
Another product line is Athletic Surfaces. Crafco acquired Copeland Coating Company, Inc. in 2018, bringing over 75 years of expertise in running tracks and athletic surface coatings. Crafco installs and maintains running tracks and manufactures, installs and maintains a wide variety of sport courts.
In April 2019, Crafco acquired Telfer Pavement Technologies’ (TPT) Anderson, CA, operations. This addition allows Crafco to expand its product offerings in paving fabrics, shade cloths, geogrids, gabions, and erosion-control materials, to the construction industry and related markets on the West Coast.
With the growth of Crafco, products are being manufactured in two additional strategic locations outside the United States.
In 2003, Crafco opened an equipment assembly and sealant distribution warehouse in Breclav, Czech Republic. This company operates under the name Crafco OS in Europe. In 2011 Crafco opened Crafco (Wuxi) Pavement Preservation Equipment Co., Ltd. in Wuxi, Jiangsu, China to manufacture Crafco equipment and operate a distribution warehouse for sealants and mastics to supply the increasing demand for our pavement preservation products in China.
