Raveling at a longitudinal pavement joint is one of the most common asphalt pavement failures. Achieving maximum durability and performance along these joints can be a major challenge. The distressed section of Northwest Anthony Henday Drive in Edmonton, Alberta, had been repaired previously with a hot mix asphalt patching repair that did not perform.
