Bridge Deck Spalls on this deck were repaired several times using another patching material that failed. The spalls were located at the working bridge joints where movement broke out the ridged repair material. Lakeland Drive is a heavy trafficked road. Just east of the bridge is a traffic signal which causes continuous traffic braking, slowing and stopping on these repairs.
