Crafco EZ Patcher : A new approach to pavement repairs

Master mastic faster with the Crafco EZ Patcher skid steer attachment. Engineered for ease of use, safety and reliability, the Crafco EZ Patcher helps you get more done while keeping your crew safe. Using the universal “quick attach” system compatible with most skid steers, the new EZ Patcher applies mastic repair material using a weighted “floating” drag box that automatically conforms to the surface, keeping crew members away from traffic.

The EZ Patcher holds 65 gallons of material and keeps it warm with a 76,000 BTU propane burner fed from a 30 lb. propane tank. Using the skid steer’s built-in hydraulic system, the EZ Patcher’s bidirectional hydraulic agitator can be switched between two modes. In mix-melt mode, the agitator automatically reverses to keep material at a uniform temperature and consistency. In dispensing mode, the agitator pushes material toward the remote-controlled gate and into the drag box. In-cab integrated controls allow the operator to easily control mastic flow, application rate, and material agitation. A remote camera system allows for precision placement of mastic to the repair area.

It’s most efficient to feed the EZ Patcher from our larger Patcher II or Patcher 4 melters, but the EZ Patcher can also operate as a stand-alone unit.

With an experienced skid steer operator, the EZ Patcher enables crews to put down significantly more material in a day – safely and easily. It is best suited to patching and sealing linear cracks such as fiber optic trenches or longitudinal joints. Two drag box hoppers (6″ and 10″) are included for different applications.

With attachment points on both sides, the EZ Patcher can be used with the drag box to the operator’s left or right. There are also forklift tubes built into the bottom of the EZ Patcher for moving the machine safely and easily when it’s not attached to a skid steer.
